This is the time of year we get what is known in sports as our "SECOND WIND." We don't necessarily change our goals or overall strategy, just our direction and tactics. We simply must RENEW our DETERMINATION.

So begin again. Let go of what is not good and helpful to you, even if you like it in some "self-defeating" way. I promise you I am doing it myself. When people enter Twelve Step or other healing programs they quickly learn to separate themselves from the people and things that hold them back and perpetuate failure.

What you specifically do for a living is immaterial to the "change process." It is the same for everyone, no matter what their challenges may be. Teachers, carpenters, philosophers or garbage collectors all benefit society - and each will have many setbacks in meeting life's challenges.
